Painting in a series, I paint Birds inspired by my days visiting local Beaches with my family and lifelong friends. Being fair skinned I spend a lot of time under shade tents observing my world at a bird’s eye view. I find the process of painting birds offers me a way to reflect on my own place in this world as a woman. Being a homebody at heart , painting birds reminds me to venture past my nest.
