Painting flowers in still life has given me a deeper connection to the world I surround myself in. I set my stage, I choose my light source and I allow precious time to study and capture nature. I paint in rhythmical patterns of colours, lights, shadows and gestures and my subject emerges from a ground like the flowers themselves.
