Whilst learning to motorbike ride at a property in Conondale, my Artistic vision fell in love with the contrasting colours between the resident cows and their rich green surroundings. At this time in my life, I was understanding how I get to choose more carefully who I let into my close circle. Painting all the cows was a somewhat humorous way to understand family connections. In reflection, after I painted these pictures, I realised how we just don’t fit in to some herds, and that’s ok!! Painting all the cows and capturing their personalities helped me to develop my painting abilities by working from photos in oil paints. It allowed time to capture the personalities and characters of the cows and my memories and adventures in time well spent enjoying the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
